Several security firms and Apple have recently announced that a Mac virus has been found on upwards of 600,000 computers worldwide. The University's IT Security team has identified users who have been infected and emailed them to notify them of their computer's problems. If you are one of these users, please visit HuskyTech's McMahon location to have the malware removed and your computer protected against future issues and threats.
For users that are concerned about their computer's security proactively, please peform all Apple Software Updates. HuskyTech recommends that you install a free Mac antivirus to give your computer live protection in the future (e.g.
Sophos or
ClamAV).
